Chittagong Institute of Engineering and Technology, affiliated with the University of Chittagong, started its journey in June 2013 to create efficient manpower in engineering sectors. CIET currently offers Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering and Textile Engineering. The academic and the administrative activities are controlled by the Chittagong University authority.

CIET At A Glance

CIET has a silent ambience and is adjacent to the Chittagong University Library. The class rooms and laboratories are well equipped with multimedia, document camera system and Internet facilities. CIET is a research-intensive engineering institute, with multiple research opportunities for its faculty members and students. It has a sober objective to achieve excellence in quality education to address the present needs of the country to make it as the “Centre of Excellence”.

Own Campus

We have two 8-storied high-tech buildings dedicated only for use by the institution. Our campus is in opposite of forest gate, Muradpur, Chittagong. We have modern classrooms, a dedicated auditorium, activity areas, meeting rooms, seminar rooms, laboratories, a screening room, and a great coffee shop. All classrooms are well equipped modern teaching implements, including high-resolution 3M Brand multimedia projectors. We have classrooms to fit all class sizes and needs. Library has a rapidly expanding collection.

Excellent Faculties

CIET’s greatest resource in fulfilling its mission is its faculty of about 150 distinguished scholars and educators, whose scholarly research experiences and teaching skills enrich the students’ classroom environment. Today, CIET continues to grow, both in its facilities and in the dimensions of its educational and research programs. The goals of CIET include the continued provision of the highest quality education at the undergraduate and graduate levels along with increased support for outstanding research to meet the needs of society.

Clubs and Co-curriculars

The mainstay of co-curricular life at CIET is its clubs. The clubs will maintain regular weekly activities to enhance skills and learning. The activities of clubs may include: educational field trips, workshops, seminars, games, concerts, intra- and inter-university competitions or tournaments, etc.
