Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines. One of the most diverse and versatile engineering fields, mechanical engineering is the study of objects and systems in motion.

Things To Know First

Application forms will be available in the website of CU (www.cu.ac.bd) or in the website of CIET (www.ciet.ac.bd). By downloading application forms from the aforementioned websites enthusiastic students can apply to the Dean of the faculty of Engineering of the University of Chittagong along with a pay-order of Tk. 600/- from any branch of Agrani Bank.

Minimum Qualification for Admission:

 

  • Those students who passed the H.S.C (Science) or Diploma-In-Engineering or equivalent examination can apply for admission test.
  • Combined GPA of 6.00 in both SSC and HSC with a minimum GPA of 2.75 in each.
  • For more information regarding the admission process need to contact the admission office.

Admission Test Information:

  • All candidates must bring 2 recent PP-size photographs and HSC registration or diploma registration card on the test day.
  • All candidates must report at least 30 minutes before the admission test.
  • The admission test will be held in the Faculty of Engineering of The University of Chittagong. The date and Time of the examination will be informed shortly.
